Josi Raya

Josi Raya is a Thai-American Pop and R&B artist whose music lives at the intersection of two worlds. Born Josephine Wood Duncan in Flagstaff, Arizona and raised in Khao Yai, Thailand and the American Southwest, Josi’s life has always been split between East and West, a duality that now helps shape her sound and identity.

Her stage name is a reflection of this journey. “Josi” stems from her given name, Josephine, while “Raya” is the Thai-inspired name she gave herself, a celebration of her heritage, symbolizing grace, leadership, and cultural pride. Growing up without a Thai name, she reclaimed that piece of herself through music.

A Berklee College of Music graduate in Electronic Music & Sound Design to producing Pop and R&B modern music today.

From recording YouTube covers at 16 to releasing original music today, Josi Raya is more than an artist, she’s a bridge between cultures, telling stories that resonate across continents.
